This one-hour webinar focuses on fostering co-operation in the classroom and beyond to create inclusive, collaborative learning environments. Primarily designed for teachers of grades 5-12, the strategies and activities can easily be adapted for younger students.
Participants will explore practical approaches to teaching students how to work together effectively making collective decisions, amplifying all voices, and listening to understand. Teachers will learn how to focus with intention on building these skills, which not only strengthen classroom communities, but also prepare students to contribute meaningfully beyond the school environment.
Additionally, the session connects classroom practices to the foundational guidelines and principles of co-operatives, highlighting their relevance globally and within our province. Parents, camp leaders and co-operative partners will enjoy contemplations about how the foundations of cooperatives start with early learning environments.
This webinar is hosted by Natasha Hart, an award-winning educator who has been teaching for 21 years.
