NLFC Names New Managing Director, Dave Walsh

On February 22, 2021 Dave Walsh, formerly of the Make-a-Wish Foundation, commenced his employment with the Newfoundland-Labrador Federation of Co-operatives (NLFC) in the role of Managing Director.
Lloyd Hayden, President of the NLFC stated “We believe [Dave] will play an important role in bringing us all into the modern era while inviting members to become more involved with the growth of the Federation. We are in this together, and with a shared vision and mandate we can foster growth and complete the goals and objectives that have been developed to maintain a thriving co-operative sector!”
Dave Walsh, incoming Managing Director of the NLFC stated “I consider myself fortunate to have been given this opportunity to join a federation with such a fine reputation of being the unifying voice for the sector in the province. This position offers new and exciting challenges for me, all of which I am looking forward to.”
Alexis Foster, outgoing Managing Director of the NLFC, extends her gratitude and thanks to the NLFC board of directors and broader co-operative sector across the province. She enjoyed her time with the federation immensely and looks forward to continuing to watch the sector thrive.
We are extremely excited to have Dave at the helm of our day-to-day operations and look forward to his deepening involvement within the co-operative sector.
