Shanti Samaroo (She/Her) is currently the Chief Financial Officer of Atlantic Edge Credit Union and a Board Director of the Newfoundland & Labrador Federation of Co-operatives. She worked for many years in the traditional finance and banking system, but, since migrating to Canada from Trinidad and Tobago in 2013, she has proudly been with the credit union system. Shanti holds three finance related designations: FCCA – Fellow of Association of Chartered Certified Accountant; CPA/CGA – Chartered Professional Accountants; MSc – Masters of Science in Finance (Investment Banking and Securities) with merit (with University of Wales). She is passionate and humbly proud of her work in supporting and further enriching the lives of members and the community at large.
