The Honourable Andrew Parsons, QC, Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology to attend proclamation signing on October 20, 2021 to recognize the significance of Co-op Week in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Newfoundland-Labrador Federation of Co-operatives (NLFC) is holding a proclamation signing at the St. John’s Farmers’ Market during the Hump Day Market, to officially declare October 17 to 23, 2021 as Co-op Week. This week celebrates the significant role the co-operative business sector plays in the economic and social development of communities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. The Honourable Andrew Parsons, Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology will be in attendance.
There are a variety of co-operatives and credit unions owned by thousands of members throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. The theme of Co-op Week 2021 is “Embracing the Future with Co–operation.” As the co-op sector navigates through the current pandemic, co-operation amongst partners to jointly deliver services in Newfoundland and Labrador allows for continued growth and development while embracing new partnerships and opportunities.
